Since 1990 Michael Charteris has worked on all aspects of contract administration for a variety of commercial and residential building projects in Perth.
As a quantity surveyor, construction contract and cost consultant, contract administrator, adjudicator and expert witness, Michael aims to provide accurate cost information and contractual advice for all involved in building construction.
Some projects he has administered include shopping centres, schools, research facilities, high-density housing, recreational facilities and commercial buildings.
In 2005, Michael became a registered Adjudicator and has delivered over 170 adjudication decisions whilst working for various Builders in Perth. Additionally, he provides construction cost estimates, helps to resolve disputes, clarifies parties’ rights under construction contracts, and provides contractual advice and quantity surveying services across both commercial and residential building construction. He has also acted as an expert witness and is registered with the Building Commission as an adjudicator. Michael is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Australian Institute of Building, Resolution Institute, and the Society of Construction Law Australia. Michael has also lectured at Curtin University and has volunteered at 12Buckets.
With two children currently attending the Duncraig campus, and another having already graduated, Michael served over 12 years on School Council.
