A smile can brighten anyone’s day, and St Stephen’s School parent and local dentist Dr Gregory Chang knows the importance of looking after it.
Dr Chang’s new practice, Hepburn Heights Dental Centre, Padbury, is a welcoming dental surgery which caters for patients of all ages, from toddlers making their first visit, to teens, parents and grandparents.
It is the second practice for Dr Chang, who also owns and operates The Heights Laser Dental Centre in Alexander Heights, approximately 10 minutes from the Duncraig school campus.
“Visiting the dentist regularly is really important,” Dr Chang says. “It helps keep your mouth in good shape. A healthy mouth (teeth, gums and all the soft tissues in the mouth) means that the overall health is good too,” he adds.
He says St Stephen’s School families can access services and treatments for all family members at the centre.
“We provide paediatric (children) treatment with teeth checks/examinations and cleans. We also recommend getting our youngest patients (as young as 2 years of age) to come into the practice to get used to what a dental practice looks and smells like and to see what happens there. For older students we monitor teeth development for any possible orthodontic needs. For students who engage in contact sports, we recommend a dentally-fitted mouthguard to keep their smiles safe.”
